Class Descriptions
Reformer - The reformer is the original piece of resistance exercise equipment designed by Joseph H. Pilates. Resistance is provided by the exerciser's body weight and by springs attached to the carriage and platform. The reformer provides finely tuned exercise resistance that allows one to work very precisely to develop good alignment, core strength, and flexibility. Resistance can be increased or decreased to spring settings for beginner to advanced workout.
Fletcher Towelwork tm – This class will incorporate stability and range of motion exercises using the Fletcher braided towel. It accesses muscles of the back, biceps, triceps, lateral oblique muscles, and teaches proper shoulder girdle stabilization and arm movement. Basic Towelwork can be taught to beginners and advanced.
Foam Roller Release - Muscle tension or myofacial release class. This class is one hour of pure indulgence. Once the tension is cleared, there’s restoration of proper nerve and blood flow, healing energies travel without obstruction. Learn how to keep your muscles in a more relaxed state. Make sure to hydrate well after this class. Open to all.
Foam Roller - This class incorporates many of the reformer class exercises now done with the foam roller and your body weight. Beginner to intermediate class.

Designed to loosen up the muscles before a big event or training. Variations using the Magic Circle and a towel that will help stretch your hamstrings as well as some modifications for your hips, legs and lower back. Ped i Pul Class- Fabulous for people that drive all day or sit at their computer all day. Assists in learning proper posture alignment. You will stabilize and mobilize the spine and pelvis, while balancing the shoulder girdle. Ron Fletcher expanded on the original body of work and refined the design of the Ped i Pul to facilitate body placement and safety. The Ped i Pul provides the ideal standing assessment tool in both a Pilates studio as well as a Physical Therapy practice.
Spine Corrector- The spinal column runs the length of your back, from your skull to your buttocks. The spine moves to perform the basic movements of bending, extending and rotating. Correct spinal alignment minimizes strain on your spine and helps maintain a healthy back. Exercises to correct misalignment strengthen what is too weak and stretch what is too tight to recondition muscular imbalance.
Mat- You will learn all of the fundamental Pilates movement techniques in Pilates mat classes. Neutral spine, properly engaged core, C-curve, shoulder and pelvic stability, spinal articulation, full breathing, working with oppositional energy and more -- all are integral to the Pilates mat work. Learning these basics on the mat where there are fewer things to keep up with will make the transition to equipment class easier.
Pilates with Props- The focus of a small prop adds variety, interest and challenge to a group mat class. Props include magic circle, towel, foam roller and/or resistant bands.
